Annie Crangle is a Senior Director at Third Plateau where she leverages her education and business background to manage a diverse set of education, leadership, and youth development clients. Annie leads our education work and has designed an approach to strategic planning that supports public schools and charter management organizations to grow and develop and respond to community needs. Annie views strategic planning as a direct route to increasing access to high-quality schools for all students and families.
In addition to strategic planning for schools and nonprofits, Annie’s work at Third Plateau spans business planning for social enterprises; management retreat facilitation; general management and strategic consulting; and creating tools to support leadership development. Annie also manages Third Plateau’s Social Impact Fellowship Program, employing current graduate students from top graduate programs across the country and preparing them to be the next generation of social impact leaders.
Prior to joining Third Plateau, Annie attended Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. While obtaining her graduate degree, Annie consulted for various organizations including strategic and operational planning for KIPP St. Louis’ regional expansion. Annie also served for two years as an assistant coach for the Washington University in St. Louis Women’s Basketball team.
Annie has been employed by and consulted for both charter and public schools. Annie worked for the Minneapolis Public School District in the Teaching and Learning Department, managing curriculum review and contributing to the development of an online student data tracking system. Annie also served as a teacher with Teach for America where she taught fourth grade and physical education at The Academy of North Minneapolis, a K-6 public charter school.
Annie holds a Master’s of Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and African American Studies from the University of Wisconsin. At Wisconsin Annie was a co-coordinator for the University’s Visitor Information Programs, involved with social justice programs on campus, and was a member of the Wisconsin Women’s Basketball team.
Annie currently serves on the Oakland and East Bay Regional Board of Playworks and is a member of The Olympic Club National Women’s Basketball team.
