Sasha Klein

Social Impact Fellow

Big Systems. Detail Thinker. Problem Solver. Food Enthusiast, lover of a perfect peach. Place Maker. Craft Beer Snob.

Sasha Klein is a Social Impact Fellow at Third Plateau. She is currently pursuing her MBA at Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco, California. Through Presidio Graduate School’s experiential learning curriculum, Sasha has engaged in a variety of consulting projects in a wide range of industries, including Goodwill Industries of San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin, Tahoe Food Hub, People’s Community Market, and HIP Impact Investors.

Sasha holds a bachelor’s degree in International Agricultural Development from UC Davis. After graduation, she cofounded The Cloverleaf at Bridgeway Farms, a vegetable and fruit producer in Davis, California. While farming, Sasha worked for The Farmer Veteran Coalition administering programs and grants to military veterans pursuing careers in food and farming. While working with agricultural entrepreneurs, Sasha realized her real passion was in the business side of farming. This lead her to a position at Farm Fresh To You, an organic home delivery service. As the Menu Manager, she oversaw weekly procurement and box contents for over 30,000 customers across California. After leaving Farm Fresh To You, to pursue her MBA, Sasha consulted for Equal Exchange developing a supply chain strategy for a fair trade banana program in Northern California.

With a background in agriculture, Sasha has learned that she is not moved by growing the perfect apple or stalk of broccoli, rather, she is inspired to create and nurture systems that build a more equitable business landscape. She is interested in exploring how place-based strategies can be applied to the broader business world. Sasha is an avid food lover, sandwich maker, bike rider, backpacker and traveler. She currently lives in sunny Sacramento, California.
