Dion Griffin is Chief Financial Officer of Third Plateau Social Impact Strategies where he serves our expanding base of foundation clients and helps lead the firm’s financial strategy and operations. He leads and manages the finance and administration components of our foundation clients including budgeting, accounting, investment reporting, insurance and compliance.

Dion served as Director of Client Accounting Services at Leventhal Kline Management for over three years where he provided expertise in tax, compliance, and accounting for LKM’s private foundation clients. His prior professional experience includes serving as Director of Finance and Operations for the Hayward Area Historical Society and Executive Director of the Harbor Bay Business Park Association. He was Co-Manager of the Pocket Sanctuary at Kenyon Ranch in Tubac, Arizona, where he transformed an historic dude ranch into a nonprofit retreat center dedicated to research, education and training for psycho-social development and compassionate healing.

Dion has worked as a Financial Analyst for Morgan Stanley & Co. in New York and London and as an Accountant for Arthur Andersen & Co. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from U.C. Berkeley and is a licensed C.P.A. in the State of California. His volunteer activities include serving on the board of the Glide Economic Development Corporation a nonprofit that owns and operates affordable housing in San Francisco. He previously served on the Marin Humane Society Audit Committee.
