Katy Lardaro

Strategy Associate

Lifelong learner. Dog lover. Thoughtful listener. Expert napper.

Katy Lardaro (she/they) is a Strategy Associate at Third Plateau where she supports social sector leaders and organizations in driving social change and working towards the world they want to see.

Katy loves creating structure where there is none, facilitating tough conversations, and mobilizing people with privilege to act in solidarity with communities impacted by injustice.

She previously served on the leadership team at YCore, a Bay Area organization mobilizing young professionals to advance community-based social impact by deploying time, money, skills, and influence as partners and advocates. She spent the bulk of her time scoping strategic projects with community-based nonprofits for the organization’s social impact fellowship and facilitating workshops about human-centered design, systems thinking, and power and privilege. Before YCore, they worked at Hamilton Families, a nonprofit organization aiming to end family homelessness through their various housing programs. They were a case manager, supporting families in the Bay Area to heal after their experiences with homelessness.

They currently reside on unceded Ohlone territory, what is now known as Oakland, California. In their free time, you can find them at the dog park with their dog (Roo), learning how to roller skate, or making New York Style bagels from scratch.
